April Overman, Executive Board Treasurer
As a police dispatcher for the Denver 911 communication center for 30 years, April is one of the many unsung heroes among the first responder community. As a dispatcher, April calmly established immediate rapport with citizens requesting help, gathered accurate information to convey to law enforcement for a swift and efficient response in the community. Our dispatchers often have both the citizens and police officer’s safety in their hands and serve as the liaison between both. April is married to retired Denver Police Officer, Ken Overman who served our city for over 33 years.
In 1977, April also became a Licensed Real Estate Broker and brings this business experience and acumen to the Treasurer position with the Denver Police Museum project.
She shares a deep connection and commitment to the success of the project. Her passion for continuing to serve in the Denver community through the Denver Police Museum project is unwavering.
