Join the Denver Police Museum and the Denver Police Department as we honor Police Officer Alson E. McCasland with a dedication ceremony of a memorial marker located where this brave officer is buried.

Officer Alson McCasland died in a police motorcycle crash in April 1935, according to records from the Denver Police Museum. He was buried at Crown Hill Cemetery, but there is no marker bearing his name. The Denver Police Museum will honor this fallen officer with placement of a headstone on September 7, 2019. The Museum relies on donations and contributions from officer salaries to cover the cost of headstones for McCasland and others who made the ultimate sacrifice, but were buried in unmarked graves. A special thank you to Mile High Memorials and the Jeremy Bitner Foundation for the donation of a custom headstone for Officer McCasland.
